Fire & Ice Festival

Once again on Saturday January 26, 2013 downtown Mount Holly will be the place to warm your tummy and see lots of artistic eye candy while having plenty of free family friendly fun. The Festival runs from 10am-4pm. Make sure to stop by the Camelback Ski tent to get all the information for your skiing needs!

Mount Holly will play host to over a dozen professional and amateur ice carvers from up and down the east coast, over 40 amateur and professional chili cooks from around Burlington County plus a wide variety of interesting entertainment for young, old and everyone in between.

The Ice

The Ice Carving Festival takes place outdoors, in the Business District on High Street and in the Mill Race Village on White Street, where visitors can watch as professional and amateur ice carvers transform 300 pound blocks of ice into beautiful crystalline works of art.

The carving begins at 10:30 a.m. and continues until the judging ends at 3:00 p.m.

The Fire

The Chili Contest takes place at the Relief Fire House on Pine Street in downtown Mount Holly, the oldest continuously operating Fire House in the country.

To enter the cook-off, registration is open Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m. and both amateurs and professionals are invited to display their skills.

The public is invited to taste the entries after the judging takes place, which will begin at noon.
