The first thing you need to do when starting
to plan your wedding is work on your guest
list. This will determine the size of the
venue you will need to look at as well as
the size of your budget.
-
Be sure to give your photographer a list of
VIPs prior to your wedding and also have
someone point out these key people
throughout the day so that he gets some
great shots.
-
Remember that you must provide a meal for
those vendors who are with you for most of
the day such as your photographer,
videographer, band, or DJ. Most venues will
provide vendor meals at a fraction of the
cost of the guest meals.
-
When selecting a wedding favor, make sure
that it is something practical. The best
favors are edible because once the favor is
eaten the packaging can either be thrown
away or saved as a keepsake.
-
Be sure to have each bridesmaid wrap a
tissue around the handle of her bouquet
before they walk down the aisle. This will
come in handy when the tears start to flow.
-
If you have a favorite flower that must be
used in your wedding décor, check with a
florist to be sure this flower is in season
during your wedding before you set a date.
-
When holding your ceremony outdoors it is
very difficult to incorporate a unity
candle. An alternative is to pour two
different colors of sand together in one
vase.
-
Consider brining a backup pair of shoes for
later in the reception when your feet start
to hurt. You can have a bridesmaid or
friend sneak them under your table before
the party starts. |
