Senior Web Application Developer
Overview:
Responsible for developing and managing, Web and SQL Systems
for internal and external clients in an MS environment.
Proficient/expert in hand-coding HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS,
VBScript, SQL, PHP and jQuery ecosystem. Requires 5+ years related
experience.
Job Requirements:
Web Application Development
- Design and build applications with flexibility for future
growth
- Create user-centric interfaces for both internal and
external clients
- Ability to rapidly build prototypes to evaluate concepts
- Build standards compliant web applications that function
across multiple browsers and on various devices
- Create or enhance functionality in existing web applications
- Proficient/expert in hand-coding HTML,
JavaScript, jQuery, CSS
- Familiar with
jQuery ecosystem, creating or modifying plugins
and leveraging jQuery UI
- Other Key Languages: VBScript, SQL, PHP
- Configure server for web application environment
- Provide solid documentation and records supporting work and
deliverables
Database (MS SQL Server 2005+)
- Solid understanding of data-structure design principles
- Ability to create triggers and stored procedures
- Performance tuning of queries from large data
sets
- Understand and execute database backup strategies
- Develop the necessary automation for routine database work
General Skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must exercise discretion in confidential matters
- Must be able to work nights and weekends as necessary
- Experience in MS Windows Client /Server systems
Requires 5+ years related experience
Bonus Skills:
- Moderate computer help desk abilities
- Adobe Photoshop; ability to convert design mockups
into functional websites
