Danny Ocean on life at B101: |
B101 in Philadelphia is the latest stop in a
whirlwind broadcasting career that dates back to
1986. I’m a true Philadelphian, a passionate
Phillies fan (no matter where I have lived), raised
on the greatest Cheese Steaks, Soft Pretzels and
Tastykakes on the planet, from humble beginnings
growing up in Delaware County, graduating college in
DC and building a radio career that has taken me
from coast to coast and all over America for more
than 20 years in cities like New York, Miami, San
Francisco, Boston, Washington DC and Baltimore.
I feel lucky to be a part of the incredible
air-staff at B101. It is simply, the best radio
station in Philadelphia, it is also one of the
greatest and most respected radio stations in
America. The leadership here sets the standard and
raises the level of performance, challenging all
others.
I have loved and lived the business
of radio since the age 12. I chose a career in
radio so I could immerse myself in the music of the
performers that I loved. Some of my greatest
memories were meeting my musical heroes like Paul
McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi.
B101 connects with its listeners like no other
radio station and I look forward to connecting with
you and sharing stories, both on and off the air and
in the community.
